As Trump-Rubio prepare new bipartisan aggression against Cuba...

A Call For Action... Gather in NYC

A CALL TO ENDORSE AND PARTICIPATE IN AN

INTERNATIONAL US-CUBA NORMALIZATION CONFERENCE

MARCH 15-16, 2025 IN NEW YORK CITY

Saturday, March 15th at the historic Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center

IN THE YEAR OF MALCOLM X’S CENTENARY

Sunday March 16: ACTIVISTS GATHER TO DISCUSS AND DECIDE ON A UNITED PLAN OF ACTION

At The People's Forum

The organizations below — all leaders in the US, Canadian, hemispheric, and international movements fighting bipartisan Washington’s economic and political war against the sovereign nation-state of Cuba — appeal to your organization, trade union, church, mosque, synagogue, temple, political party, peace and/or solidarity coalition, to sponsor and participate directly in an historic International US-Cuba Normalization Conference (IUSCNC).

On March 15-16, 2025, in New York City, the International U.S-Cuba Normalization Conference will take place in-person and live-streamed across the globe.

The International Cuba Conference will feature a sizable delegation from the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and the National Union of Cuban Jurists (UNJC) who will be attending the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) events at the UN in Manhattan, NYC. This makes it possible for Conference participants and a slice of the US public to hear “Cuba Speak for Itself” as a counter to the unrelenting anti-Cuba line from “mainstream” media oligopolies that echo the bullying, bipartisan Washington policies that are held in contempt by world governmental and public opinion. Even though on October 30, 2024, the UN General Assembly voted 187-2 against the extraterritorial US sanctions on Cuba, overwhelmingly for the 32nd consecutive year!

In the United States over 116 City Councils, State Legislatures, Labor Unions and Councils, County Boards, and other institutions have passed Resolutions against the US embargo and for the removal of Cuba from the spurious “State Sponsors of Terrorism” SSOT list and other institutions

The 2025 International U.S-Cuba Normalization Conference will take place less than two months after President-elect Donald Trump and his designated Secretary of State Marco Rubio – the self-proclaimed architect of the “maximum pressure” asphyxiation policies of the first Trump Administration -- assume power.

Trump-Rubio take office with daggers drawn, fully committed to ratcheting up renewed aggression against Cuba, with more overt threats and more anti-Cuba executive orders and proposed legislation. All of this poses more sharply the threat of both renewed covert subversion and terrorism organized from US territories and bases and plans for direct US military intervention and aggression.

Even before taking office on January 20, 2025, Trump has made blustering threats to re-occupy the Panama Canal and carry out unilateral US military operations in Mexican territory.

The belligerent anti-Cuba threats and posture has sparked mass mobilizations of hundreds of thousands of patriotic working people in Cuba demanding an end to the criminal US blockade. It is also bound to increase hemispheric and international solidarity and material aid with the Cuban people.

We understand that the challenges Cuba face – shortages of medical supplies, food, gasoline and other essential items; energy grid deterioration; lack of access to capital markets – flow directly from the accumulated damage from the intensification of the whole range of extraterritorial measures erected through the obscene placement of Cuba the US “State Sponsors of Terrorism” list (SSOT).

The International US-Cuba Normalization Conference will be educational and highly informative, with dynamic speakers, special guests, plenaries and workshops. But our primary aim is to produce a United Plan of Action to organize, mobilize, and defeat the brutal US blockade, even – especially -- in these most challenging and difficult circumstances.

The March 15-16 International US-Cuba Normalization Conference in NYC will be a large gathering of Cuba solidarity and anti-blockade activists. We hope you will endorse the conference and join us in New York City! Let’s come together to tackle how we can most effectively organize and mobilize on all the fronts of struggle: legal, peaceful street actions; solidarity travel; solidarity material aid; legislative work; and other initiatives.

Join us in discussing and planning united work for the coming period of our diverse campaigns to end the criminal US blockade on Cuba across the US, Canada-Quebec, Puerto Rico, across the Americas, and the globe.

Join us in continuing to build our united campaign demanding:

  • End the U.S. Blockade on Cuba!
  • Remove Cuba from the so-called ‘State Sponsors of Terrorism’ List

Strength in unity! Together we will win! ¡Venceremos!

JOIN US!!!
