On March 14-15, 2026, a broad united front of organizations and activists is organizing an Action Conference for US-Cuba Normalization at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. The Action Conference will take place as a Federation of Cuban Women (FMC)-led delegation will be in NYC for United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) activities on March 9-20, 2026. Delegation members will be special guests and presenters at the Action Conference plenaries and panels/workshops, along with other prominent speakers and activists. The Action Conference will be live-streamed across the western hemisphere and internationally.
Following the events of January 3, 2026, Cuba is again in the direct crosshairs of US threats, quarantine, and military intervention. Washington, under the direction of Donald Trump and his Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are ratcheting up the longstanding, “bipartisan” US economic and political war against Cuba – the blockade. The aim is to asphyxiate the Cuban economy; pauperize its working class and population; and overthrow its socialist government. The Action Conference will also focus on opposing acts and never-ending threats of US military aggression and intervention in the Americas under the Trump-Rubio regime and the defense of Venezuelan sovereignty.
On January 3, 2026 the Donald Trump White House carried out a murderous military assault on the sovereign nation-state on Venezuela and abducted its head of state and first lady. Territorial integrity and national sovereignty was grotesquely violated justified by the most dubious, spurious assertions of drug trafficking and “narco-terrorism.” January 3 was directed at the sovereignty and independence of the Venezuelan government and state aiming for the establishment of a pliant, pro-Yankee client regime. Trump’s public statements are purposely provocative and bellicose in claiming Venezuelan oil field and infrastructure for US capital and himself as the “King” who is “running” Venezuela.
The consequences of this cowardly act of naked imperialist aggression are now unfolding in Venezuela, across the hemisphere, and internationally. Trump-Rubio and their apologists purposely flaunt “international law” -- as well as the US Constitution -- as they arrogate unto themselves the role of judge, jury, executioner on land and on sea. These modern-day colonialists see themselves as Viceroys and Imperial Overlords across the Americas. Submit to US Capital and the prerogatives of the US ruling billionaires or we will pulverize you and your sovereignty; we will exploit your national patrimony for the benefit of Empire.
